RULES AND REGULATIONS
Please read and review all our rules and regulations before playing with us at the SFSBC facility. Please ask the SFSBC staff if you have any questions. Thank you!
SFSBC NEW OPERATIONS EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1, 2025
*for existing memberships, there will be reserved courts set aside for open play during the weekdays until the end of December
SFSBC is a badminton court rental facility and does not offer membership programs. Only registered players are allowed inside the facility; non-paying spectators are not permitted.
Court Reservation Rates
Everyone who plays at SFSBC must reserve a court to play.
Court rental rate is $35 per hour, per court.

A 1-hour reservation allows up to 6 players per court.

A 2-hour (or longer) reservation allows up to 8 players per court.

Additional players may be added for a flat fee of $10 per person.

Happy Hour rental rate is $25 per hour, per court.

Court Reservation Rules
1. Reservations can be made in 1-hour increments. Multiple 1-hour slots may be booked back-to-back if available.

2. Drop-in court rentals are available only when unreserved courts are open. All drop-in rentals are handled on a first-come, first-served basis and can be arranged at the Pro Shop Front Desk.
3. Each player's name must be registered when you make a court reservation and cannot be changed.
4. Your group may enter the facility up to 10 minutes before your reservation time. All players must remain on their reserved court and leave promptly once their reservation ends. Please avoid lingering or socializing inside the facility after your session.
5. Everyone entering the facility must check in at the Front Desk. You may be asked to present a valid government-issued ID at the time of check-in.
6. All players must complete and sign the SFSBC Liability Waiver Form online before being allowed to play. Anyone showing respiratory or illness symptoms may be denied entry for the safety of others.
7. SFSBC staff and management reserve the right to limit the number of guests and court rentals at any time.
Cancellation Policy
1. Cancellations/changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please send cancellation/change requests by email to: sfspower21@gmail.com
2. Any reservation cancelled without notice or any "no-shows" will be charged a "no-show fee"
Rentals
We require badminton shoes at our facility. We offer racket and shoe rentals for $5.00 each. All rackets and shoes are sanitized after use.
We offer yearly locker rentals for $60. Please do not leave valuables in the locker.
SFSBC is not responsible for lost and stolen items. Please do not store perishable items in the lockers. Any damage to a locker caused by negligence will be the responsibility of the renter to repair or cover the cost of repair. SFSBC reserves the right to inspect the contents of any locker and to remove locks if necessary. SFSBC is not responsible for the lock or its replacement.
Private/Professional Coaching Policy
Only SFSBC employees or approved coaches are permitted to provide professional coaching at our facility.
Professional coaching is defined as any badminton instruction given to a student who is not an immediate family member.
SFSBC reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine what qualifies as professional coaching and may ask violators to leave without refund.
Additional Rules
1. Outside food or drinks (except water) are not allowed inside the facility. Anyone who violates this policy may be asked to leave without refund.
2. Smoking, vaping, gum chewing, animals, and weapons are strictly prohibited inside SFSBC. Anyone found violating this policy may be asked to leave without refund and could be barred from returning in the future.
3. Children are not allowed to loiter in the parking lot area without adult supervision.
4. SFSBC is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Please keep your personal belongings secure at all times.
5. SFSBC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone at our discretion.
If waiver link does not work, come into the pro-shop to sign it in-person!
Personal Conduct
All SFSBC guests and court rental players (referred to as "players") are expected to follow the guidance and instructions of SFSBC staff while on the premises.
Players agree to:

Conduct themselves in a respectful, quiet, and well-mannered manner.

Avoid causing disturbances or interfering with the safe use and enjoyment of the facility.

Not conduct, purchase, or promote any commercial business or activity, or solicit other players, without prior written consent from SFSBC.

Refrain from interfering with SFSBC’s operations or business in any way.
Any complaints, except for emergencies or issues requiring immediate attention, should be directed privately to SFSBC staff.
DRESS CODE
SFSBC reserves the right to deny entry to anyone wearing attire deemed inappropriate by our staff. Clothing with profanity or offensive slogans is not allowed in the facility. Badminton shoes are required on all courts. Players wearing any other type of footwear will not be permitted to play, and no refund will be provided. Shoe rentals are available for those without proper badminton shoes.
Health & Safety Responsibility
Players are encouraged to consult a physician before using SFSBC’s facilities or services. Players acknowledge that SFSBC does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment for any medical conditions, including but not limited to cuts, abrasions, sprains, sores, infections, or conditions affecting personal hygiene that may pose a risk to themselves or others.
Players agree to:

Use the facility responsibly and in accordance with all applicable public health guidelines.

Assess their own health and consult a physician if they have any condition that could pose a direct threat to the safety of others.
SFSBC reserves the right to make the final determination regarding any health or safety concerns and may deny access if a condition is deemed a risk.
Waiver and Release of Liability
By participating in any physical exercise, class, activity, or by using any equipment on SFSBC premises (including the facility and parking lot), players acknowledge and accept that they do so at their own risk.
Players agree that they are voluntarily participating and assume all risk of injury, illness, damage, or loss to themselves or their property.
Players release and discharge SFSBC, its affiliates, employees, agents, representatives, successors, and assigns from any and all claims or causes of action, known or unknown, arising from SFSBC’s negligence.
Players acknowledge that they have carefully read this waiver and release form, fully understand that it limits SFSBC’s liability, and agree that any legal action to assert claims of negligence must follow the terms outlined in this agreement.
